OUR MISSION TO THE WORLD AND OUR COMMUNITY
To support and empower individuals and the surrounding communities to experience the blessings of wholistic health. We embrace the concept that we have been created as wholistic beings with physical, mental, spiritual, social, and relational dimensions. We believe that God is deeply interested in the health and well-being of humanity, and that He wants to use His church as a catalyst of healing, bring hope and relieve suffering that will reveal His love to mankind.
The Conyers SDA Church is committed to support the whole-person health in a variety of ways, including health publications, lifestyle education, nutritional counselling, cooking classes, health awareness programs, church-based community health initiatives, medical missions, and more.
OUR MISSION AS A WORLD CHURCH
The mission of the North American Division Health Ministries department is :
Sharing hope and wholeness through the healing power of Christ and to reach North America and the world with the distinctive, Christ-centered Seventh-day Adventist message of hope and wholeness.
OUR VISION
To foster a unity of mission and action among all who are called to shine the love of God through a ministry of healing. We seek to do this through supporting the individuals and organizations who desire to help their members and communities experience abundant health and well-being through the transformative power of faith, lifestyle, and service which will reflect God’s desire for wholeness, hope and restoration.
Health is a treasure, yet as a nation we are plagued with a myriad of debilitating diseases, and premature deaths.
Scientific studies have confirmed that a diet rich in fruits, grains, nuts and vegetables contain all the food elements that we need, and people who eat mostly of plant-based foods experience optimal health, while avoiding many diseases and early death.
Philosophy
We believe in a “ministry of healing” that can restored and bring hope and wholeness. We understand that disease prevention, health promotion and the relief of suffering through simple lifestyle habits through the acknowledgement of effective evidence-based therapy can heal and bring wholeness. In our brokenness:
“He [God] is just as willing to heal the sick now as when He was personally on earth. Christ’s servants are His representatives, the channels for His working. He desires through them to exercise His healing power” (Ellen White, The Desire of Ages, p. 823).
HEALTH INITIATIVES

The theme of the Health Ministries Sabbath usually focuses on physical and spiritual health but there has also been a focus on mental health, healthy relationships, emotional well-being and more.

"Too little attention is generally given to the preservation of health. It is far better to prevent disease than to know how to treat it when contracted. It is the duty of every person for his own sake and for the sake of humanity, to inform himself in regard to the laws of life and conscientiously to obey them."
